A big “thank you” to everyone who attended
TechNow 2010 on Thursday, October 28!
TechNow, our region’s premier one-day conference devoted to new and important trends and opportunities in technology for nonprofits, took place on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Robert Morris University’s own
Sewall Center.
Some highlights from the conference:
- We learned about Windows 7, website usability, creating online evangelists and a host of other topics in breakout sessions. The materials from the sessions can be downloaded here.
- Katya Andresen from Network for Good gave an inspirational keynote speech on using behavioral economics to “nudge” people and help our causes.
- Fabulous door prizes were given away, including an iPad that had us all drooling.
- Jeff Forster followed up the 2010 Tech Survey results by summarizing them in a musical number “Nonprofit IT Baby” which garnered a standing ovation.
We enjoyed a day of networking, thinking and learning. We met new technology vendors (and some non-tech vendors) who can help us further our work. And…last but not least, we were very well-fed. The catering manager remarked that he’s never gone through so much coffee for an event ever!
